Re:       Round 1 of Online Local Meetings through myOHSAA

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EMAIL

The first online local meeting for your sport is now available through myOHSAA!  Again, these are optional meetings for officials to view and each meeting can be completed for one local meeting credit each.

Your attendance credit is not uploaded automatically upon completion like the online state rules meeting.  Your attendance will be uploaded on the prescribed timeline below:

To access the online local meetings for your sport:

1 – Log in to your myOHSAA profile – https://officials.myohsaa.org/Logon

2 – Select the orange “Official” icon

3 – On the left-side menu toward the bottom select the button labeled “Special Presentations” under the orange section header labeled “OHSAA Resources”

4 – Once on the Special Presentations screen, select the meeting for your sport by selecting the “View” button for your sport’s meeting.

5 – After the “Last Date Available” listed above, the meeting will not be available for viewing or local meeting credit.

If you watch the wrong sport’s meeting you will not receive local meeting credit.

A few updates:

  • We have been asked if these presentations will be available for viewing at a later date.  We tentatively plan on posting them later in the season to an online video platform, but there is no timetable for this project.  Also, to be clear, if posted later, the viewing of these presentations would not be for local meeting credit.
  • There will be six meetings available in both baseball and softball.

Below is some information on each presentation.

Baseball

Topic: “Virtual Meeting #1”

Presenters: Anthony Sheets (Ironton BB/SB Officials Association)

Softball

Topic: “Pitching” by George Gulas (State Rule Interpreter, Suburban and Summit BB/SB Umpires Association)

“Two Umpire System & Communication” by Jerry Norris & Ariana Bowles Norris (Top of Ohio Umpires Association)
